The Australian Government has announced new funding to help schools teach consent, inclusion, and kindness. And the best part? You can use that funding to run the 91直播 Support鈥檚 evidence-based modules.

Each of the program鈥檚 modules helps build the skills, attitudes and peer culture that supports respectful relationships across the whole school.

It鈥檚 student-led, with senior students training as 91直播 Leaders and leading younger students through the module materials over eight weeks. Most participating high schools provide 91直播 Leader opportunities to Year 9 students supporting Year 7 students in Term 1, but schools can adapt the model to suit their needs.

Teach integrity with Best Version of Me

91直播 Support鈥檚 newest module helps students explore who they are, what they stand for and how they want to treat others. Each session opens up peer-to-peer conversations about identity, integrity and inclusion.

鈥淚t鈥檚 not a lecture. It鈥檚 not a worksheet. It鈥檚 real dialogue, guided by students who are trained to lead with empathy and confidence,鈥� says Jonathon Peatfield, CEO of Life Education NSW/ACT.

鈥淭he Best Version of Me module gives students the tools to build stronger connections and lead with empathy,鈥� he says. 鈥淚t helps create a culture where students feel seen, heard and supported.鈥�

Schools using Best Version of Me say it improves peer relationships, builds leadership capacity and helps create a more inclusive school culture.

Build belonging with Strengthening Our Connections

This module focuses on belonging. It helps students recognise and challenge bullying behaviours and strengthen their connections with each other. Sessions are built around empathy, kindness and creating a safe and supportive environment.

Like all 91直播 Support modules, Strengthening Our Connections is led by students, not teachers. That peer-to-peer structure is part of what makes it effective.

鈥淲hen students take the lead, they take ownership of the culture they are helping to create,鈥� says Peatfield. 鈥淭hey鈥檙e not just talking about values. They鈥檙e practising them.鈥�

Explore resilience with Rethinking Challenges

Rethinking Challenges helps students develop the emotional tools to navigate pressure, stress and change. Respectful relationships start with self-awareness and resilience. This module supports both.

The sessions are practical and grounded in students’ real experiences. They鈥檙e designed to help young people reflect, problem-solve and support each other in meaningful ways.

鈥淎dolescence can be a challenging time,鈥� says Peatfield. 鈥淭his module gives students space to talk honestly and build skills that last well beyond the classroom.鈥�

91直播 Support鈥檚 modules are available to 91直播 Support member schools. The modules are curriculum-aligned, designed to be peer-led, and support a whole-school approach to wellbeing and respect.

Each one meets the criteria for the new . The funding supports age-appropriate, expert-developed programs that promote inclusion, empathy, consent and wellbeing.
